A twist on your classic brussels sprouts with this sweet Asian sesame roasted brussels sprouts recipe! These brussels sprouts can be a standalone meal or a perfect complementary side dish.
I absolutely love brussels sprouts. I know that they are one of those vegetables you either love or you hate, but I think that they are absolutely delicious! I honestly think that the secret is in how you marinate and cook them. Plain, steamed brussels sprouts taste kind of blah. However, marinated and roasted brussels sprouts taste delicious.
Another bonus of brussels sprouts is that they are packed with nutrients. They are rich in vitamin K, which is important for blood and bone health. They are also rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. Brussels sprouts are part of the cruciferous vegetable family, which are also rich in phytochemicals with have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Get the big picture? Eat your brussels sprouts.
How should I buy Brussels Sprouts?
Honestly, fresh or frozen brussels sprouts are fine. For this recipe, I used frozen brussels sprouts because that’s what I had on hand. Frozen vegetables are honestly such a great option! A lot of times they are cheaper and last longer too.
