Fudgy Vegan Chickpea Brownies

These super chocolatey and fudgy brownies are the perfect, delicious treat! They have hidden chickpeas inside which add to their rich texture and provide some protein to these brownies!

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 350 F. 
  • Add the chickpeas, oat flour, and peanut butter into a blender or food processer and blend until smooth. This is important, as it helps to blend down the chickpeas and make them extra creamy. 
  • Add in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, and chickpea four mix into the food processor. Blend until creamy.
  • Then fold in about 3/4 cup of chocolate chips to the mixture.
  • Pour into a 9x9 baking pan and bake for 20-22 minutes. If using a smaller pan, bake for about 30- 32 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
